The Elegant Architectural Ladies This now elegant Victorian neighborhood , and its 1852 historic Goodale Park, helped to birth a preservation awareness in Columbus. For more than 3 decades, Victorian Village’s activists have worked to preserve and promote this amazing assemblage of 19th century homes, businesses, and apartments—and now the area is setting the standards for appropriate infill. Tour the historic heart of the village in and around Goodale Park, the city’s first park which predates New York’s Central Park, and learn more about the “Gothic Circus” house and others, the park and its history, nearby Flytown, and the preservation movement in Columbus

At:Goodale Park Shelterhouse |
9am-noon (early risers) 10am-1pm (regular folks)

Meet fellow Goodale Park supporters. Enjoy fresh air and camaraderie while doing your part to help keep Goodale Park beautiful. All are welcome, whether you're an experienced gardener or you really aren't sure what's a weed and what's not (we hear that a lot). No experience necessary. Learn something new as knowledgable fellow volunteers share insights about specific plants, or point out and tell stories about wildlife in the park (the red tailed hawks are pretty thrilling to watch).
